How we make money

The site earns money in three ways. None of them buys a review or changes a verdict.

Affiliate links

Some shop links go through /go/ addresses. If you buy after clicking one, the shop pays us a commission. The price you pay stays the same. Pages with these links say so next to the first one.

Sponsored posts

Brands can pay for a post. Sponsored posts carry a Sponsored label at the top and the byline "Partner content", and they live in a separate section from our reviews and guides. Links in them are marked as paid for search engines. Read our rules for sponsored posts.

Ads

We may show display ads. They are labelled "Advertisement" and kept separate from the text of reviews.

Gifted products

If a brand sends us something free, the review says "gifted" at the top. We review gifted pieces the same way as pieces we buy, and the brand does not see the review first.
